Bulgaria
Geography of Bulgaria
Located in the Balkan Peninsula, in the south-east part of Europe, Bulgaria comprises four different natural regions. The fertile Danubian plains in the north are wheat and corn-producing areas. South of the Danubian plains lie the Balkan Mountains, where cereals and potatoes are cultivated, cattle and sheep are raised, and the country's major mineral resources are found. South of the Balkan mountains there is a region of grassland, where tobacco, cotton, rice, flowers and grapes are cultivated. In East large beaches and beautiful rocky shores stretch out along the Black Sea Coast.
